Personality: Despite her being seen as the pretty, rich girl, she is nothing like the typical vain, spoiled brat. For the most part, Asami is a sweet, kind, and loving individual willing to put her own problems on the side to help the people she feels needs it most.
Her loyalty is also one of her strongest traits as sticks by friends even when others have doubts on them. However, such loyalty can be challenged as Asami feels she needs to keep her feelings on her father’s magic prejudice to herself because he’s all she has left of her family. While still loving him, she feels the only way for her to feel truly happy is to be away from him, whether it’s watching the magical activities in the park, or meeting up with her friend Korra, and the biggest action she took: going to Lunavilla.
Asami has guilt from her running away from her father instead of confronting him, looking to Korra as someone she wishes to be at times. Despite insecurities of running away Asami promises herself that she tell her father the truth.
History: Having come from a diverse city of magic and non-magic users Asami has always been enchanted by the world around her and has wanted to study at Lunavilla. However, she keeps her desire to learn about the magical world from her father, Hiroshi, due to her noticing his deep-seeded intolerance to magic and the people who use it.
One day while working on the latest vehicles of her father’s business felt an electric shock flow through her hand and all through her body before coming right out at the tip of her finger on the other hand. As Asami tried to focus more and more on the battery she was working on the flow kept coming back until she saw what looked like lightning come out of her finger tips. She realized that she needs to keep this a secret from her father who she knows of his hatred for magic-users.
Knowing that she can’t hide her power forever from her father and wanting help people with them Asami secretly transfers to Arcane Magi Academy and runs away to Lunavilla.
