'Damn it, I have to be insane.' Sly thought to himself.
It was in the middle of the night when the raccoon sneaked off of the school grounds and made his way towards the mines. It had been the first day for him and Tsubomi at the new school and everything was going perfectly so far. The two had some new friends and based on how the talk would go, Sly may end up joining a club. But while walking around, Sly overheard people mentioning crystals inside the mines with different powers.
The inner thief in him just had to check the place out. He made a promise not to steal while in the city and he planned to keep it. But his curiously got the best of him. So here he was, out in the forest under the darkness of the night in search of these mines.
'Just take one look and than get out.' Sly thought, 'That's all you need to do.'
He glanced around, hoping no one had followed him. Last thing he needed was a teacher or a council member to find him out there.

"Hey there!?" the voice of a young boy called for the raccoon while going more inside the forest; the voice came from around the leaves section. "What is your business here? Unless you are lost"
The voice sounded threateningly as lightly evil. Whosoever is following or looking at the raccoon tried to keep him away from the place; that or just playing fun on him.
Yet, little giggles from a girl also came out of the light. Giggles that are stopped by a hand to not be discovered so soon..
"Can WE do it now?" asked Ruffnut at D-Yugo alongside.
"Let's see if he is enough brave before doing so" D-Yugo smirked

Sly quickly turned towards the source. While he had brought his cane with him, he didn't reach for it yet. He didn't want a fight to break out if it could be help.
"Look, I'm not here to cause any trouble." Sly explained, trying to keep a good poker face on so the person wouldn't see his surprise, "I just wanted to check out the crystals and that's it."
So much for not being caught. Through the fact the person didn't show themselves yet made it clear it wasn't a teacher or council member. Through rather or not this 'person' being there was better or not was unclear to the raccoon.

It didn't passed enough since making a small joke in the city...yet had to leave things unfinished for - insert angry people scuttlebutts here-. The viking was just following him for fun...not aware if he might betray her later. The viking whistled by bring small squirrels to climb up the raccoon's cloths and cane...yet not gnaw or scratch him. Just hinder his movements. " Sorry pal, but if you want a gem...we are not going to let you go with ease" D-Yugo mentioned. " We are going to do challenges on you. Initiating for this one..." laughing amid teeth as Ruffnut in silent ones. |

"I'm not here to get a gem. I just wanted to see what they look like." Sly explained. "And what do you mean by challenges?"
He raised an eyebrow. OK, clearly whoever the person was, they most likely won't like the thugs Sly would cross paths with in the past. Most thugs would have just started shooting by now or right out attack him and his old partner. Still, the challenges could be fun. He could use it to make sure his skills won't getting dully and to see how his illusions would do in matter outside of heists.

It was rather funny look at them ran away like rodents after seeing a great predator hidden in brushwood. Yet the raccoon was anothe raw meat yet much harder to chew away. The viking and Eliatrope just thought in continue with him. As far, an animal caller and a Dark-Light bearer were enough to keep things in a ranctuos position; or trying hard to be. " Alright. The first challenge you are looking it right now. Try to pass around the forest with all those rodents around your cloths by make no harm on them. When, they left you in a special zone fowards, I mention the next" D-Yugo smirked thinnly. " This is not what we planned...What are we going to do if he discover us?" Ruffnut whispered at the Eliatrope " To be honest, its the first time we are going to face a real challenge. Better prepare ourselves. It can be rather funny play with him" the Eliatrope whispered at her. |

Just walking through a part in the woods with a few animals on his clothes? It sounded pretty simple to him. Than again, there would most likely be details the person was leaving out.
He noticed some of the squirrels moving towards him. Most likely the ones this person were talking about.

The squirrels stopped. By covering Sly's cane top. Some around the hat and few others hang tight on the back and front cloth he is wearing. Ruffnut stop whistling at the little rodents. As leave to follow the Eliatrope deep inside the forest just to find the point where to prepare the next challenge...while the raccoon deals with the squirrel problem first. |

Sly groaned in a bit of annoyance. He didn't think the night would turn out like this. He was thankful none of the others like his young sister were here to see him. He must likely looked like a complete idiot. No doubt there would be a bit giggles and some laughing if they could see him now.
Still, a challenge was a challenge. The raccoon started to walk forward into the forest, carefully so none of the squirrels would fall off.

"Do you have any idea what to do next? I would rather not be captured by doing this" Ruffnut asked at D-Yugo while waiting in the shadows for Sly to arrive at the point where they accorded to be seen for the next challenge.
"Do not worry, this ain't going to be so hard at all. However, I not going to lie, we might have a real airhead like challenge...if things are not getting in our way...then we advise someone about" D-Yugo mentioned at Ruffnut as last resort "Yet, better lie about how we know the raccoon is here. You can do that, right?"
"Umm..Yeah...I think so..." Ruffnut was not so sure in trust Yugo "I wonder if I can put the dark side to sleep, and bring the light or Original Yugo out before this ends bad" she thought while waiting for the next challenge procedure

Sly soon arrived to the point. It was a pain to have to walk around the forest with the squirrels hanging onto him the whole time. If he could have climbed up a tree and jumped from branch to branch, he could have gotten there soon. Through he was glad the squirrels didn't bite him or anything of that matter.

Ruffnut whistled to advise the squirrels to leave the raccoon and return back at the safety of the branches and bushes around the woods; while looking in distrust at the Eliatrope's dark side. She was expecting to talk a bit much longer with the light or the Original Eliatrope...but it seems the dark side has more power over them...or at least, is what she is observing.
"Good. You have passed the first challenge from three" Yugo advised at Sly beyond shadows "The next challenge is about take one of us down; however, think wisely...there are no second chances and shall fight until he or she be defeated lying on ground"
"Are you sure about this?" Ruffnut asked a bit confused, the Eliatrope just smiled
"Count to five. And then search for us" D-Yugo advised while jumping off the branch by going deep left the woods; Ruffnut was going to play one last game to him but after it, she shall leave by her own...she ran towards fowards. In separate ways.

"OK then..." Sly mumbled, knowing there was no point in speaking against it. A challenge to test both battle skills and senses? It was a surprising chance with how easy the first one was.
He closed his eyes and listened carefully on any noises he could hear. A bit hard to do with some animals in the forest. He could only hope he would guess the path correctly.
"One...two...three...four...five!" Sly exclaimed.
He opened his eyes and turned to where he believed he heard one of them leaving at. He started to run towards the path Ruffnut had taken.

Ruffnut turned several times around a tree, having the issue in have no idea where she ended in the end of her race...just obeying the Eliatrope's orders for last time...yet she was not going to get defeated so easily if the raccoon was against her position. She only needs a plan about take him down without being harmed so severe...
"Oh, for Odin's Beard...I hope this works on my favor" she mumbles as looked upon her surroundings. It is going to be a hard time for her...yet she was a bit habituate due be a viking. Fight is normal for them, so a worth fight with a foreigner may strengths her relationship with the ones around.

Sly continued down the path as he glanced around. He didn't want to overlook anything or anyone who would be hiding. The voice made it clear this would be a lot harder than the first. Through he hoped the person he would end up fighting wasn't out for serious damaged.
"If I were the voice, where would I be hiding?" Sly said quietly to himself.
Rather or not the raccoon had ended up lost hadn't entered his mind yet. Than again, Sly was one to normally think on his feet rather than plan things ahead.

Ruffnut continued walking until arrive at a small glare where the moon and stars can be seen from her position; as look a few tree hatchlings below her feet. She felt kind in home on Berk...yet it was going to be hard to replace her island. There were no wildboars, a sea to fish or a variety of small winged reptiles similars as dragons.
She waited on the place, resting over a tree.
"Let's make this a great party before Valhalla's great feast" Ruffnut smiled foolishly.

Sly kept walking through the forest. So far there wasn't much noise around the area when it came to another set of footsteps. The Moon and stars made some lighting but not enough like there would be if it was the day. Than again, Sly wouldn't be out there if it was daylight. He imaged at was when the workers would be during their jobs.
Soon, Sly thought he heard a voice at one point. Thinking it may one of the ones he needed to find, he started to walk towards it. Carefully through so he wouldn't make a lot of noise or pick up any loose dirt on the ground with the steps he took.

Whistles can be heard around the zone, as some animals like squirrels, owls and small reptiles gather around a small area where they just stayed there; like waiting for something. Yet looking at the shadows from an area that a tree is. The moon and stars didn't give it a clear image by lack of light...
Ruffnut looked on the raccoon or rather heard thanks at the wild ones approaching at the place. Quite an advantage on her, but still unknowing what kind of abilities, skills or main power the beastkin might have behind the blue cloths and cane he holds. She might made a risky move...but anything might be used in order to investigate the competence. She stopped whistling as the animals retire slightly back at the bushes, rocks and trees around.
"Hope you brought some ice...this might be extreme for you" Ruffnut announced herself. "...and by such, I would not ride a boar, or hurl axes at ya'. But I going to enjoy this, as long as I want to do so"

'Riding a boar'? 'Hurl axes'? Hearing it confused Sly a bit but he shook his head. He could always ask more on the person later...if she would allow it him to ask them. Course, he still had to be careful too. He wasn't fully sure what this girl's powers, if she had any of course, could be. Plus, his illusions would only do so much in a fight. It wasn't a power he could count on as much as other magical powers people had.
"Better keep your eye on me than." Sly said with a small smirk. "Because I certainly won't be holding back either."

"Fine then. Let's make this a glorious battle so the Valhalla might receive us as fine warriors. You'll be invited to the great feast where other fallen warriors are" Ruffnut said toward the raccoon. Perhaps a bit demotivation on him should work. The girl stand there waiting for rhe raccoon's first movement; as she waited for the exact moment to unleash her special over the beastkin.

Sly raised an eyebrow at the mention of Valhalla but shrugged it off. He took his cane, ready for battle. In Sly's mind, performing an illusion right away would not be a good idea. That would be best to keep up his sleeves until he could learn what powers Ruffnut had.
He took a smell step forward. The raccoon took a deep breath to try to calm many nervous he may be having and than charged towards Ruffnut.

Ruffnut didn't want to waste her surprise on the raccoon, so as he charged against her. She does as well but by take pebbles and dirt to toss over his face...she was not going to lose while using a battle that require hand-to-hand combat. She squatted by try to make a low kick towards Sly's knees while grab more dirt and rocks, with a few bugs just to keep things in a way she can use on her favor.

Sly tried to brush the pebbles and dirt off that was original through at his face but cringed in pain when his knees was kicked. He fell down for a moment but quickly tried to stand back up. Through the dirt and rock made it harder to keep still and to see a lot more clearer than normal. Sly swing his cane towards Ruffnut, trying to knock her back.

"Argh!" Ruffnut was so confidence in have the raccoon under the place she wanted him to be, that didn't see the cane being swinged. As ehe received the hit over the nose; she tossed the dirt and bugs out of her hands to touch by instinct her nose.
"You little blit!" Ruffnut whines in pain as looking with teary eyes at the raccoon. She whistles towards the trees by call a couple of ravens that swooped down by use their beaks on the beastkin. "However, my brother beats much harder than that" recovering slightly but with anger in her eyes.

Sly's eyes widen when he saw where the cane hit, most likely having meant to arm for a place where it wouldn't hurt as much.
"Wait, I-" Sly tried to say to apologize.
However, he noticed the ravens swooped down towards him before he had a chance. He let out a yell of pain as some started to peak at him. Sly tried to use his cane to try to scare them away from him while he used his free arm to shield his face.

"You are Loki's minion for what you say" Ruffnut said as she tackles the raccoon by forcing him to go down at the floor. As the ravens flew back again at the tree they parted moments before.
"I going to break your nose for what you made on me...and I was thinking D-Yugo was a pain in the ass...but no. You are the new arse one here" trying to punch on him while prepare to dodge for any incoming attack from him

Sly yelped when he was suddenly tackled to the ground. The fall caused his cane to fell out of his grip and onto the ground. He groaned and quickly looked up towards Ruffnut. It only took a second to see the rage in her eyes. He barely moved his head before the punch could hit him right in the face.
"Sorry about this." Sly started.
He tried to push the girl off of him.

Ruffnut couldn't foretold the move of Sly on her, she waited an attack not be pushed away from him. She was not going to allow such beastkin mock her for what happened.
She was not going to fight with all her might but do little damage, however, that changed.
"I going to make a lot of harm on you... before Yugo target your other half" blind by rage, Ruffnut said a cryptic message related at Sly.

Could she mean Tsubomi? She was in the girl's dorm room and based on who this Yugo person was, wouldn't be allowed there. However, that didn't mean this person had ways to get to her. Sly couldn't help but turn pale at the thought of Tsubomi getting dragged into this mess.

"Argh! My nose burns!!" Ruffnut whines still as she cracked her neck slightly as stretch her arms either. She whistled again by summon a squirrel but instead grab on Sly's cloths, it used its frontal-teeth to bite hard his left arm, while she tried to grab him to toss over her shoulder.
"Yugo is right. We are just trying to get some fun, and try to drag people into it but then, things like THIS happens" Ruffnut pointed her nose "Yet, to be a kid with a Light and Dark entities living within, and be the dark the most active...Nevermind, let's get on with this"
