Personality: Sayaka act tomboyish and has a strong sense of justice, but due to what happened to her she becomes a bit distant, often not sure if she should trust others or let them into her lives she tends to be scared of her Mermaid/witch form. But once you got her out of her shell she energetic, loyal, and a bit brash, but very devoted of her friends. she also has a love of classical music and the violin...
History: Sayaka once had a normal life in a town out of Lunaville, where it wasn't common to have magic users. She feel in love with a childhood friend who played violin, and was the reason she got into classical music. However, tragedy struck when a car accident left her friends hand paralyze, making him unable to ever play the violin again. Sayaka would visit him in the hospital constantly to try to make him feel better and bring him CDs of music he would like, to give him hope. Things gets worst when it was announced it would take a miracle to heal his hand, and Sayaka friend gave up all hope and feel into despair. Sayaka started to lose hope herself until she was approached by a strange, telling her about crystals which can grant her greatest wish, no matter how impossible, there was a catch though, she would have to give up something just as important. At first she was unsure, but she agreed. The creature gave her the crystal, and in a flash of light she woke u in her bedroom, and hearing news about her friends hand being completely healed. She saw she had a weird tattoo in the shape of the moon on her navel area. She soon discovered she gained magical abilities, and thought she became a magic user. She soon started to trained with swords, and began to act like a superhero to her town. But, she soon discovered something horrible, she wasn't a magic user, she was a cursed being, and the thing she gave up to fulfil her wish was her normal life and hope to ever be normal again. She saw herself as a demon and a monster, and it got worst when another one of her closest friends confessed to her that she is in love with the same boy Sayaka is. She started to fall into despair and madness as her life was crumbling down, and the boy she was in love with....accepted the confession of her other friend. That was the breaking point, and she blacked out...when she woke up, she discovered her mermaid/witch form, and saw that she while in this form almost destroyed a city block. Fearful of what she is and she what she could do to her home, she ran away and took the train station to Lunarville. When she arrived in the town, she didn't know where to go, and eventually met up with Homura. Homura listen to her story, and feeling pity for the girl, told her that Arcane is the best place for her to learn to control her powers. She took her advice and signed up for the academy.
