Personality: As a child Gwen was usually portrayed as an intelligent, mature but usually stubborn and smart-mouthed when it came with her cousin Ben. Her quick thinking and good instincts usually gave her an edge in dealing with dangerous situations. However, she can be sometimes too trusting with people who want to exploit her goodwill leading her or others into harm's way. As Gwen got older, she became more mature as well as becoming more sympathetic and caring. Her sibling like love for her cousin has become much more clearer than it was when they were children.
Gwen is willing to forgive villains, and bullies for their wrongdoings if they really proven they changed for the better, such as Kevin for example. And though her intelligence and knowledge have increased she still holds some naivete and can be arrogant at times as well.
History: Born under Frank and Natalie Tennyson, on the same day as her cousin Ben, a few years younger than her older brother Ken. Gwen lived a relatively normal life before moving to Lunaville to attend at Arcane. It wasn’t until she was ten years old when her parents made her go on a cross-country trip with her cousin Ben and her grandfather Max when they went into the woods to camp for the night. When she was asked to search for her cousin from her Grandfather, Gwen discovered a strange creature who at first, she thought was an alien until it revealed himself to be Ben. Having learned that Ben somehow got shapeshifting abilities. They spent the rest of their summer catching criminals and saving people. Though half of it, they spend it with them bickering about Ben’s constant misuse of his powers and other problems they had with each other. It wasn’t until one day Gwen discovered an old spell book lying in her grandfather’s RV. Eventually discovering only she can read the book and its contents. She soon began practicing by herself, eventually discovering that she had an incredible talent in magic and had the ability to fly in secret eventually donning an alter ego named Lucky Girl which she used to begin to help her cousin Ben out by catching criminals with him. Though it didn’t last very long as she was eventually discovered by Ben one day. Fearing of her being ratted out, Gwen made Ben swore not to tell anyone not even their grandfather her identity. Ben reluctantly agreed, only if Gwen came with them to Arcane. Gwen agreed as she heard that by attending Arcane could help her apply to a great college when she gets older. The next thing Gwen knew after Max had called their parents, Gwen was on her way to Arcane excited to learn how to better control her magic and prove to others that girls can be heroes too.
