Campanella felt rather lonely even if he stays with Ventus (his roommate). He wanted to know if the kittens from the village he lives are sick worried about his. Mostly his father. He was not sure. It seems the wait had extended more than usual...however, to the red fur kitten it was a time of relaxation...times like these never happened. He always spend days and complete months inside his house studying and chew books knowledge. Day by day, night by night. He was more than habituated to it, that any class that have the regeant in study certain amount of words or spells via books that can be obtained inside the library on their bookshelves respectively, it was an easy walk to the beach for him.
Nevertheless, he was looking the sky. More than usual. In the kitten village, around December, they started the Star Festival as prepare all things to receive the stars with great joy and celebrate with elders and kids alike. But, he wasn't sure if the Academy shall have something similar or neither care about it. (And he didn't said more about it to no teacher, btw).
In the evening, instead going back at the bedroom, he goes out at the gardens...to see if he can catch up or have a minor idea where he could be due the star navigation maps he studied once. However, the sun hadn't left yet. So, he waited over a stone.

Adrien had always wanted to check out the sunset and figured now would be a good time to do so. While he did love his father, Adrien's dad was pretty stern when it came to rules like when Adrien had to go to bed. Plus, the modeling job kept the boy busy at it would already be dark by the time he got out of the building.
Thankfully, Plagg was asleep in the dorm so the blond haired cat boy didn't need to worry about his pet sneaking off while in the garden. As long as the door and window was kept close, Plagg shouldn't be able to escape. Adrien looked around the garden and smiled to himself. The sun was still up, a sign at he wasn't late.
"Let's see...I think I overheard some students say a good spot should be around here." Adrien mumbled.
He started to walk towards the spot when he noticed an anthropomorphized cat by a stone. Adrien was a bit surprise but happy to see another cat being. Sure, Adrien only had the ears and a tail of a cat but it still was pretty cool to see someone like the red furred cat in his mind. Who knew: Maybe this was Adrien's chance to make another friend.
"Hi." Adrien said as he walked over with a cheerful smile.

Campanella was so focus on his own things that the sudden comment of the other student startled him. His fur brittled as soon as he looked at the source of the words. Then, he sighed a bit more calm.
"Sorry about that. I still trying to habituate being in the academy" Campanella was honest with the stranger, who looked as a human but looking more as an incomplete kitten-like being. "Are you some sort of cat? Sorry if I sounded rude..." to the kitten was so strange saw another cat -or rather said- part cat around.

Adrien noticed the fur brattled for a moment and knew why. He waved his left hand in the air for a second.
"Don't worry about it. I'm still getting used to this place too. Sorry for spooking you." Adrien said, feeling a bit bad about that. He smiled at the question of the cat part. He was used to people asking if he truly was part cat or if it was some type of costume back when he was younger or by people who never saw his photos from his father's work, "You don't sound rude at all. And yeah sort of. I'm part cat, part human." His tail moved a little bit to show it was real.

Campanella just looked at Adrien with curious eyes. The kitten returned by looking the stars within the dark-night sky above his vision; he wanted to touch them but he knew it was logical and physical impossible to do so. He sighed hard.
"Hope they be okay..." saying in whispers with his ears down with worried eyes. He believed Adrien may come from some place with half-cats around.
"Where are you from?"

Adrien heard Campanella and became a bit concern, thinking the young kitty was homesick. Adrien couldn't really blame him. Even if the cat-boy had some more freedom here, Adrien missed his dad like crazy. Still, maybe talking about their homes could help Campanella out with whatever problem he had. At last, that's what Adrien believed.
"I'm from a city near Paris." Adrien answered, "It's nowhere near here through. What about you? Where are you from?"

Campanella didn't want to give so many information but Adrien was acting very handsome and kind to him; he sighed a bit hard and scratch behind his ears to process what he was going to say at the half-cat one.
"I am from a village where kittens live. A place where each night near Christmas Eve (name you use for the festivity), we start at festival called: Festival of Stars. Just to conmemorate the constellations and things the night created since eons of the past" Campanella mentioned, his tail waves little as having the small satisfaction and happyness emotion.

Adrien couldn't help but smiled a bit. He was very familiar with Christmas Eve, recalling the happy memories he had with his parents back when his mother was around on both it and Christmas day itself. But he never heard of the Festival of Stars or of a village were just kittens lived. Both sounded amazing and the festival sounded like something he may enjoy. Heck, if he ever had a chance to see the whole world, Adrien knew he would need to see this village.
"I admit, I know Christmas Eve but I never heard of the Festival of Stars. It sounds pretty cool." Adrien said.

"The Festival of Stars is a celebration to conmemorate all stars around the cosmos when night arrives. We celebrate with great joy and leave all work for another day..." Campanella stopped a bit "...I used to be the son of a wealth attorney within the village I came from... I never had a moment to rest. Always studying than have social life. And the Festival of Stars was the only event I could really feel freedom at last"
He sighed as looked the night-sky as look few stars and the moon floating there. As always.

Adrien could understand the feeling of not having a lot of freedom and having to focus on something else instead of a social life. With how protective his father had become since his mother's disappear, the boy felt more like a prisoner in his house rather than a son. Sure, his father's actions were understandable to a certain amount but it didn't help the trap feeling.
"Hopefully we can go to this festival together...and I admit, I understand the feeling of not having a lot of freedom too." Adrien said.
It was mainly to try to make Campanella feel like he wasn't alone. Thanks to how his life used to be, Adrien wasn't completely sure what to do in events like this. But he still wanted to help anyway he could. Through the 'used to be' part also caught Adrien's attention. He knew some students here didn't have any parents or were like him and only had one parent still around. But would it be too pushy to ask about it?

Yet Campanella bite his own lips and looked down at the grass. Looking at the river passing around the gardens...
"In my village there is a bridge that was built over a rivulet that passes around the foundations of the village; the bridge was being constructed to connect the farmyards with the villagers... I climbed up the rampart to lay down and see the stars. It was a moment very special for me. No works, no studies, no pressures of any kind... That was a night for me, yet it... It..." he couldn't hold his calm voice as whimpers sounded on him.
"I slipped and fell on the rivulet... It turned out to be more deep than an average one... I tried my best to scream for help but I sank fast for each struggle I did... At the end, I was engulfed by water. I couldn't reach the shore, I couldn't keep my eyes open..." he knelt in the grass feeling incredible confused.
"And the moment I closed my eyes I thought it was being the end... But, I manage to survive but I end up here..." He looked at Adrien with teary eyes
"Tell me... I am dead?"

Adrien listened as Campanella talked. At first, it seemed perfectly fine yet the direction Campanella was looking at give some signs it may not be. Hearing the kitty fell into a river and almost drowned...it was a scary thought. Adrien couldn't even begin to imagine the horrors Campanella felt during the event. Adrien couldn't help but wonder how Campanella survive the event: The main thoughts was either the flow of the river brought him to the garden while the other was a mermaid seeing Campanella and saving the kitty. Sure, the second sounded like something from a fairy tale but Adrien thought it was possible, given how magic existed. But Adrien had no way of knowing what happened for sure.
Through the question caught Adrien off guard. The half cat boy wasn't sure of what words to say. Should it be something long or something short? He was still getting used to talking to people and knowing what to say and do. Sure, the time he hanged out with Oka went well, something he was thankful for since the two were starting to become friends. But with a problem like this...
"You're not dead." Adrien said, trying to help the kitty not feel scared or confused as much, "I'm not sure how you were saved...but I think you were brought to this school for a reason."

Campanella tried to buy those words coming from the catboy as he looked at the rivulet again, he didn't wanted to remember those things ever again. He keep himself in silence until Adrien talked about he was not dead as he thinks about. Yet, deep inside, he knew it was real and the death part has to be more than a mere illusion... As he is walking as a death one but has no proof to demostrate it.
"Thanks, I really appreaciate those words" he looked on Adrien as heard the 'reason' part. "I am not sure why they hope coming from me... I am not sure if I am here for a reason or just by mere happenstance"

Adrien couldn't help but notice the full cat looking at the river for a moment. The blond haired cat boy imagine those memories were replaying in Campanella's mind. But if Campanella was sitting next to Adrien right now and Adrien could see him, he had to be alive right?
"Hey, you don't need to thank me." Adrien said. An idea came to mind when Campanella mentioned how he wasn't sure, "Well, maybe we can find out together. I have some friends who may be willing to help too. After all, we're not alone in this place."
The last part was something Adrien was also reminding himself of. He wasn't alone like how he used to be, something he was glad about.
