He had a strong belief that magic users must learn to control thier powers and not use them for evil, caring deeply for the Welfare of the students; although there is rumour of this belief being a way to repent for what has happened in his past...

History: Born in a peaceful village named Radiant Garden, Ansem was born with a desire for great knowledge and the appearance of magic only increased this desire. To this end, the young man quickly befriended a man named Anakin Skywalker; it was Ansem’s belief that his new friend could tell him of how magic works. However, Skywalker grew only bitter when asked of real magic and not of the Force so he left one week into the friendship..only to return years later, now as Darth Vader and slaughter the village in a fit of rage. Nearly consumed by his grief and remorse of his people, Ansem was about to end it all when he heard news of a academy for magic users opening and a council was required. Seeing this as a chance for redemption, Ansem the Wise quickly took a position on the council as a mentor figure for the magicless users. Still to this day, he is haunted by memories of his failure to act and desires to warn the magic users of what they’re capable of if they allow the darkness to consume. Anything to avoid history repeating itself.
