Personality: Sweet and kind to a fault, Cadance is very patient and willing to listen to those who need it. Her loving nature matches well with her powers as someone who has enough trust in her emotions and that of others that she doesn’t feel too serious of a need to use them. Her warm personality doesn’t mean she can’t or won’t fight for those she cares about. Hurt someone close to her and thou shall pay.
Many have not taken Cadance's powers seriously compared to the more physical and elemental powers by other magic users, and have attempted to coax her into using them. She ignores them because it’s a tactic of manipulation and unnecessary. Admittedly she has felt like her powers might’ve given her undeserved attention but she still made her emotions clear to a person.
Despite her appearance and powers as a whole giving her the image of the Pretty Girl she casually enjoys learning and the nerdy subjects. She’s a council member not because of her works or “seducing her way to the the top”, but because of her own desire to make things at least a little better and working for her position.
History: Born and raised in Lunaville, Cadance was almost always surrounded by magic and the beauty it possesses. Learning of her powers at a younger age than the average magic-user she went to Arcane Magic Academy as soon as she was old enough to enroll. Her years at the academy were spent honing her skill and finding a purpose for her love magic. Her favorite subjects were that of Fusion for the way people’s emotions and minds are combined into one, History with how it describes the events and causes that makes people do what they did, and English as the written word is one of the most powerful things.
During her time at the school her magical peers felt that her love powers would be good for matchmaking or just being the envy of all. Cadance seldom used her powers for casual use because while making people love each other could help, it wouldn’t be fair and that they need to solve problems on their own. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t give a little bit of a push on occasion such as bickering couples who are definitely in love and need a little bit of reminder. The love magic itself would wear off if they weren’t meant to be and while it does break her heart to know that it wouldn’t work out, she found solace in knowing or feeling that they could at least figure it out for themselves.
While visiting her aunt Celestia and Luna she met encountered a fellow classmate, Shining Armor, and his younger sister, Twilight Sparkle. He tells Cadence that his parents are out of town so they wanted him to babysit Twilight. Shining Armor is suddenly realizes that he has other plans and hesitantly asks Cadance to take care of his young sister to wish she agrees. It was then that she became Twilight’s regular babysitter, growing closer to both her and Shining Armor. Every school break she would visit her aunts as well as Twilight, loving her like a little sister.
Eventually she went to college, studying politics in order to help make the world a kinder, more loving place. She. In her recent years, she became a council member of Lunaville, wanting to improve the lives of the city and relations between Magical and Non-Magical.
