Personality: On the outside Homura seems to be a cold person who doesn’t take crap from anyone, including the other members of the council. If she sees them over-using their powers of position or acting out of order, she will put them in their place. She takes the safety of the town and the laws set by the government serious, rarely letting someone off easy. However, underneath the mask, Homura is a broken hearted girl who is despairing trying to make up for the sins she feels she has done. She blames herself for not being strong enough to have protected those she cared for and had died. To her, the fact she has magic is proof of the terrible things she has done…and hopes no one has to gain their magical powers the way she did.
History: Homura was originally a non-magic user born into a normal family and in a normal town. She had some health problems, making it harder for her to live like most children her age. There were many times she had to see doctors and miss classes because of it. However, she still found happiness in a dear friend of hers, some saying Homura may have even had a crush on this friend. Sadly, the happiness didn’t last. While exploring a cave near the town, Homura and her friend came across odd looking crystals inside it. The two noticed the glow too late: Homura was shocked by the crystals and fainted, her friend being the last thing she saw before blacking out. When she woke up, she saw a diamond mark on her hand and found herself at a hospital where she was told her friend was dead along with the curse she now had by a magic user. Homura blamed herself for her friend’s death…
For a while, Homura worked as a solo bounty hunter, keeping herself away from others out of fear. Her powers and skills took noticed of the government. They send a member of the High Council to meet her and explain the deal they had in mind for her. Though she didn’t agree at first, Homura thought back to her friend who always dreamed of helping people. Seeing it as a way to make her friend’s dream come true, Homura agreed.
