Personally: Howl has a kind, generous personality and is very forgiving. His good traits, however, are masked by his more negative traits, so very few know of them. He hates to quarrel, and will "slither out" of situations he doesn't want to be in. He is very dramatic. He hates to be pinned down to anything, and is quite cowardly.
The only way he can make himself do something brave is to tell himself he is running away. He also lies a lot, and likes to teases Sophie, though subtly.
History: Howell Jenkins was born to an ordinary family in modern-day Wales. However, he himself was anything but ordinary. Gifted with a natural talent for magic, he began studying it. Even in college, he wrote his thesis on magical spells and charms, and joined a group of other gifted magicians on Earth. Mickey mouse saw his natural gift and had him enrolled in arcane magi academy. While in middle school Howl made a deal with a dying fire spirit named Calcifer, giving him his heart. With their symbiotic relationship Howl was stronger than ever and Calcifer had a home to live in. Howl became extremely good at illusions and the theatrics getting the starring role in many of his school plays. After he graduated he couldn't find a job so he became a street magician earnings a name for himself, he would occasionally use his tricks to get ladies to date him but never felt love until one day he met Sophie and fell in love with her and because of her he went to find a more suitable job that is when he found that his college was looking for a drama teacher so he took the job. He lives happily with his wife Sophie and their adopted son Michael, who Howl has made his apprentice and hopes that Michael will one day be a better wizard than himself.
