Personality: Rei is a young boy who is determine at everything he does and isn’t willing to give up easily. He tries to help people the best he can, believing that anyone who turns their back on someone is a coward for not trying to help. Due to this, some have tried to use him in the past just to get what they want. However, he doesn’t allow himself to be pushed around so easily, knowing when something isn’t right and willing to stand his ground. However, Rei can be a bit naïve due to the fact he hasn’t grown by with the same racism others may have faced. He doesn’t understand the hate some non-magic users have towards magic users and why some magic users would look down on non-magic users when both magic users and non magic users are very similar. He can be a bit short tempered at well, sometimes getting into fights with bullies whenever he sees them messing with someone else.

History: Rei comes from the city called Paradiso, a land where magic users and non-magic users live together in peace. Rei was the son of the mayor of the city and hoped to one day become the mayor. His powers was something he had for most of his life. He was able to see and talk to spirits and tried to help them pass on so they wouldn’t continue to life in regret. For a long time everything seemed perfectly fine, even with his powers.

It wasn’t until he had gotten older did problems start to rise: Darker spirits soon found Rei because of his powers and tried to use him or hurt him. Sometimes they would even try to possession him, viewing him as a perfect target. It would get to the point where he would become ill and have to miss weeks of school to try to recover. Unknown what to do, his parents tried to get help from doctors, both magical and non-magical ones. One doctor, a non-magic user, mentioned Arcane Magi Academy and how the teachers there could teach Rei to keep the darker spirits away from him. Once Rei was healthy again, his parents explained what they would talk and send him to the school. Through Rei misses his home, he wants to try his best at the new school and hopes it can help him with his problem.
