Personally: he's egotistical, dramatic, and childish, but ultimately good hearted, caring, and generous. He is charismatic and honest with his friends. Considers family important. He is very heroic, Many women see him as ”princely”. he is very flirtatious, charming, and suave in front of guests, but he is very humorous, a little naïve, sensitive and easily jealous with people he trusted.
History: Tamaki was born into a wealthy family though his grandma disapproved of his mother believing Tamaki's father manipulate her. Tamaki’s parents had magic his father having charm magic and his mother having healing magic; Tamaki learned he inherited that trait same as his father he could manipulate other people's emotions and charmed many women with it, his father taught Tamaki how to use it, this where times they felt they really got to know each other.
But then his mother got sick one day but the treatment was expensive and her power doesn't work on her; Tamaki would use his magic to make her feel better sometimes, Tamaki’s grandma said she pay for the treatment if Tamaki was sent away never to see his mother again, Tamaki agreed.
He made new friends in his school and made a host club which he was president of, his magic made him a very popular host, but one day a girl named Haruhi came into his life, Tamaki felt he was in love with her so he promised he’d never use his magic on her. He tries to teach Haruhi how to be a host just like his father.
He is very honest with the host club and told them that with his father’s influence he was accepted into arcane magica academy,
Tamaki was surprised to find they already was a host club there lead by Hikaru and Kaoru, and Tamaki was jealous and mortified that they were better than him at it, they saw this and feel bad about it but they include him and secretly they ask for his advice occasionally.
Tamaki is learning how to use his magic for something good and more than just charming women. he hopes to reunite with his family soon.
