Kyouko was glad her trip to Lunaville was a calm and peaceful one, even if she didn't show it. The purple haired girl had arrived to the city and the school a few hours ago. Thankfully classes didn't truly start yet, due to how some students lived far away and having a long way to travel. Kyouko was one of the students who lived closer by so it only took her about one day to get there.
Figuring it would be the best move, she headed to her dorm room to drop off her belongings before she went to look around the place she would call home for the school year. A teacher named Pearl had mentioned Kyouko's room mate was named Rainbow Dash when Kyouko had asked what number her dorm room was. Odd name but Kyouko had heard weirder ones.
She finally came across her room and knocked on the door. Just in case this Rainbow Dash person was already inside and in the middle of something.
"Excuse me, is Rainbow Dash in here?" Kyouko asked calmly, "I'm your room mate, Kyouko Kirigiri."
She waited to see if she would get an answer.

Rainbow Dash put down her bag hearing someone calling her name. "Yeah, one sec!" Rainbow called throwing her coat onto the chair near her bed and headed to open the door and looked at Kyouko. "So you're Kyouko..? Huh. Well come on in then." She said motioning her to come in.

Kyouko nodded as Rainbow's question. The purple haired girl walked inside and noticed Rainbow Dash had already picked one side of the room. At last, that's what Kyouko could tell from where the bag and coat was at. It didn't matter to Kyouko who got which part of the room. She was just fine either way. She walked over to the side not taken and set her bag down.
"Thank you." Kyouko said as she looked at Rainbow Dash.

Kyouko smiled back a bit. Course, she wasn't sure what to say fully next. Kyouko was never one who was really good at starting small talk. Or at last when it came to starting it.

Rainbow Dash smiled for a moment. She hoped things would be a lot different here than how it was in the orphanage. "So...why did you decide to come to Arcane Kyouko?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Oh? I came here to study different types of magic and weapons. I thought this would be the perfect place given the school's rep." Kyouko explained. "What about you? Why did you decide to come here?"

Rainbow Dash sighed. "Well..don't tell anyone I said this. But I grew up in an orphanage...I wasn't really liked there..mostly it had to do with my amazing speed and flight abilities." She bragged. Rainbow shook her head and continued. Now wasn't the time to brag. Now was the time to try to make a new friend. "I came here a few years ago so I could prove myself that I can prove myself...Arcane was kinda my dream school ever since I was a little kid."

The speed and flight abilities sounded pretty interesting to Kyouko. Hopefully she would be able to see Rainbow Dash in action soon.

Kyouko raised an eyebrow in curiously. Even if it wasn't world known, Kyouko imaged her room mate made it to her goal in some ways. Given what Rainbow Dash had just said.
"Oh? And why would that be?" Kyouko asked.

"It has to do with my reasoning for wanting to come to the school." Kyouko explained, "I hope to gain a career in a job that will allow me to help protect both the law and innocent people."
She wasn't sure if she should explain how everyone in her family outside of her father and the ones on her mother side were detectives and she came to the school to follow in the footsteps. While they were better known in Japan, they didn't seem to be as well known in Lunaville from what she saw so far. Something Kyouko had mixed feelings on.

"Correct. I hope to become a detective. I figured this would be the best place to learn skills I'll need to do so. After all, you never know what type of criminal you'll face off against in cases." Kyouko answered calmly.
Sure, it wasn't completely part of the police force but she would be working with police on the job. Through from Rainbow Dash's reaction, she could tell the rainbow haired girl knew nothing about the purple haired one's family.

Kyouko give a very tiny smile back. Sure, she normally kept her emotions to herself but, seeing how she and Rainbow would be sharing a dorm, showing some positive emotion should be fine. "Thank you. I'm glad to hear that."

At last, she recalled her father mentioning that a few times when talking about the school he ran.
